My volleyball journey began 24 years ago, at the age of ten, when I started tagging along to my older sister’s practices. Armed with a borrowed ball and a trusty wall, I’d invent countless games in my head. I absorbed invaluable lessons simply by listening to her coaches and observing them intently during practices and games. By the time it was my turn to step onto the court, I was more than ready.

That early immersion, coupled with countless hours of dedicated training, propelled me through five years of competitive club volleyball and four seasons of Division I play at Arkansas State University. While I primarily excelled as an outside hitter, I also spent over a year training as a setter in college. After my collegiate career concluded, I transitioned into coaching, spending two years working with 11- and 12-year-olds in club ball. Since then, I've dedicated five years to coaching middle school volleyball across Louisiana, Alabama, and Texas. Under my guidance, my teams secured two conference titles and celebrated three league MVPs. Additionally, over half of the middle schoolers I coached went on to make their high school varsity teams as freshmen.

My family is new to the Ames community, and we are absolutely loving making the Midwest our home. The incredibly warm welcome we've received has truly inspired me to immerse myself in this community and contribute in the most meaningful way I know: by leveraging the sport that has given me so much to train and inspire younger generations to become not just great athletes, but great people.
