All Iowa Attack, established in Ames in 2004, is a non-profit organization designed to positively impact kids, teaching life lessons through the game of basketball. With a focus on teamwork, diligence, discipline, and development, All Iowa Attack provides a practical environment that goes far beyond X’s and O’s to prepare for the future. We are more than basketball. We believe the game is an opportunity to empower today’s youth to be tomorrow’s leaders.
In pursuit of that mission, All Iowa Attack started its first expansion to Coralville in the fall of 2020, housed in a beautiful facility, GreenState Family Fieldhouse. And now, just a few months later, we are excited to expand to a third location option, in the brand new MidAmerican RecPlex in West Des Moines.
All three facilities/locations will operate under All Iowa Attack leadership, direction and vision. Our goal in expanding to Coralville and Des Moines is to create opportunity, closer to home, for 3rd-11th graders across Iowa, providing access to an educational and competitive basketball program for. Today’s family and young athlete schedules are busier than ever - shorter drives allows more focus on getting better by being in the gym!
We will have two sets of girls teams for the fall/winter season: Central Iowa and Eastern Iowa.
Eastern Iowa teams will operate on their own with teams formed and all practices in Coralville (ie - you will not need to make trips to Central Iowa this fall/winter). We are excited to continue to grow our Eastern Iowa teams and allow for those athletes to be trained closer to home and have competitive teams to compete at high level with! We will continue to bring Attack staff over to run practices and look forward to building off a great 1st year to continue to raise the level of play and expectations in Eastern Iowa.
Central Iowa Attack teams will be ran much like the past. These teams will be based out of Ames (we will NOT have Des Moines only teams on the girls side). New for 2021, we will offer a Des Moines practice night as much as possible at the new MidAmerican RecPlex. Our hope is Des Moines athletes will be able to stay in Des Moines once a week and just make the trip to Ames once a week, saving on travel time while keeping players in the gym the same amount!
