Frequently Asked Questions About Upcoming Season
how will teams be structured?
3rd-8th Grade Location Based Teams: We will offer 3rd through 8th grade teams in two locations - Ames & Des Moines. Each of these locations will operate independently from one other from a coaching &practice standpoint. We anticipate 2 teams per age in each location.

6th-8th Grade Elite Teams: We will offer Elite teams in 6th, 7th and 8th grades. These teams will be based out of Des Moines for practices and coaches. We anticipate having 2-4 Elite teams per age.
​
9th-11th Grades Location Based Teams: We will offer teams in two locations - Ames & Des Moines. Each of these locations will operate independently from one other from a coaching and practice standpoint. We anticipate having 2 teams per age in each location.
​
9th-11th Elite/EYCL: These teams will be based out of Ames. We anticipate having 1 EYCL and 3 Elite team per age. They will practice independently from all other teams as well.

What are the costs to play on an attack team?
See FEES page on website.
All new players will buy a uniform this season and pay a program fee.
These are the only two expenses paid to AIA, there are no additional fees to AIA.
​
What is a typical tournament schedule?
Teams will play in roughly 10 tournaments from November 1 to February 25th. Exact weekends will be determined after roster composition to provide the best schedule for each individual team to challenge them appropriately. Our teams will play about 7-8 times locally and then 2-3 trips to places like Omaha or Kansas City.
